Environmental Defense Fund
EDF’s work after Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Fiona continues to center on advancing a community-driven solar and storage project and supporting a range of partners who are driving systemic change to the energy system across Puerto Rico. EDF is approaching this work holistically, leveraging its technical expertise, sustainable financing tools and energy reform experience to help develop long-term solutions to the territory’s energy crisis. They hope that with these and similar initiatives, Puerto Rico can meet its mandate to source 40% of its electricity from renewables by 2025.
